About The Role

We are looking for passionate, knowledgeable storytellers to guide guests on our premium small-group electric cruiser tours across Detroit. As a Dtours Tour Guide, you are the face of the company — bringing the city’s history, culture, transformation, and vibrant spirit to life in an engaging, memorable way.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead small-group tours on electric cruisers across routes including the Detroit Riverwalk, Belle Isle, Downtown Highlights, Dequindre Cut, and more.

• Deliver informative, engaging, and personalized commentary that highlights Detroit’s architecture, history, public art, neighborhoods, and ongoing renaissance.

• Ensure every guest feels welcomed, safe, and valued throughout their experience.

• Maintain and operate electric cruisers responsibly.

• Represent Dtours with professionalism, warmth, and enthusiasm at all times.

Job Requirements

• Deep knowledge of (or strong willingness to learn) Detroit’s history, neighborhoods, and current development.

• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills.

• Valid Michigan Chauffeur License (or the ability to obtain one) — we provide complete study materials and reimburse the license fee upon passing.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Flexible availability, including weekends and some evenings.

* Chauffeur License
A Michigan Chauffeur License is a state requirement for operating our electric cruisers with passengers. We fully support you through this process by providing all study materials and test answers. Dtours will reimburse the full cost of the Chauffeur License enhancement once you successfully pass the exam.
